The main objective of this course is to introduce the major constructs of contemporary programming languages. This course covers the following topics : review of grammars, languages and their syntax and semantics, parsing and ambiguity, BNF, finite state grammars and recognizers, lexical scanners, implementation of symbol tables, contextfree languages, push-down automata, and so on.
